The new 2010 Camaro system from VR represents a major leap forward in terms of real world performance delivered with the quality that Camaro owners and tuners alike have come to expect. “Quite simply, this is the Most Powerful ram air system we have ever produced for a Road Car.”

This is the most powerful induction system of any kind for the new 2010 Camaro. Our competition will talk, but they will not outflow it or outrun it. They will never outperform it!

• Adjustable mass airflow meter housing -allowing you to richen the mixture
   manually if needed for fine tuning!
• Helmholtz Resonance System designed into the unit- this is used to reflect the sound
   signature back into the intake manifold to boost mid-range TORQUE and

"No Tune" Models have seen Gains of 20-32HP / 22-40+ft lbs of Torque
through the entire curve on the Dyno! Documented and data logged.
Using EFI Live & wideband systems to verify air fuel ratio, "TUNE" models
have reached 35-40HP on dyno with stock cars!

Now for what you will not see on the dyno "Ram Air in action" 
We plumbed directly into the intake manifold in order to give you a true intake
manifold plenum temperature reading from inside the plenum itself.
During this test ambient temperature was 79-82 deg F.

What you will notice in the EFI logs is that the VR system dropped the intake plenum temps 20 deg BELOW ambient tempuature at Wide open throttle from 0 to 60 mph. At cruise 30-40mph we averaged about 3-4 deg below ambient temps
You will also notice the manifold pressure of this "No Tune" restricted system 14.8 VS 14.6 for stock.
The MAF flow rates rose from 42.43 grams per second on the dyno to a whopping 55 grams per second on the road, same car same day just after the car was taken off the dyno.

That's a density altitude change of -1,250 feet and a flow increase of over 20% on a 0-60mph run alone. You will never see any of this on the dyno, so we data logged it for the world to see. (no claims, just facts) Thats over a 4% increase in HP and Torque on top of your dyno gains from a density change alone!

we develop our systems on the track and road.

In the new Camaro system we designed a broad power curve into the system to make sure the new Camaro unit would also dominate the dyno-drags as well.

F.A.Q. (Why not just look at the air temperature in factory MAF?)
The MAF is a pass-through, not a sealed cavity.
The air molecules cannot compact and build pressure here!
This is why you must log the temps inside the intake plenum.
So how much total power does a VR make when the dyno and the on road/track performance are combined?

Each system is setup with a different combination, "Tune" vs "NoTune".
We do this to keep the E38 computer in tolerance so that they are easy to tune or require no tune at all.

We have listed the general specs that each has been restricted to.

Here is an example of Total Power Added

Example #1 - 2010 6speed SS with a VR 398 rear wheel hp and 401 Torque simply add 4-5% to both = 417 rear wheel hp, 421 Torque (stock car pulled 382hp / 378 Ft.lbs.) for a solid 35 HP/43Ftlbs gain in total power for a "No Tune" system.

FAQ: (what if I didn't gain much on the Dyno?)
What if the car stock pulled 365hp& 365ft lbs to the wheels? You install the VR system and only see 10hp and 15 ftlbs on the dyno because the ECU was not allowed the time to dial in properly for whatever reason. That's ok now add the 5% Ram Effect for full power delivered.

365hp + 10 =375 + 5% = 393hp (a 28hp gain)
365Tq + 15 = 380 + 5%= 399ftlbs (a 34 ftlbs gain)

With no tuning, it makes no difference - you will still reach our performance guarantee no matter what,
while the other guys are still sucking HOT AIR!

You can see why we really don't care about the Dyno
as much as actual on the road/track performance.

What to expect on the road:
We designed the Camaro system to produce larger gains in Torque than Horsepower by using resonance tuning. The 2010 Camaro's weight (3,800+ lbs) meant maximum acceleration gains would be found by concentrating the power under the curve in the 4300-5500RPM range, giving up the last 300rpm. (Reference resonance tuning)
GM did a good job of making a cold air box from the factory regardless of what the rest of the aftermarket may tell you (Their box material is far better for heat resistance and they actually did give a good hole to breath cool air from)

So weather you gain 15-20 hp &20-25ftlbs of Torque or you already have another company's "COLD AIR/HOT AIR", you will still see a substantial gain in performance by switching to the VR.
We will top any Torque number by 8ftlbs even if we make the same peak hp. We will carry a broader, fatter curve by as much as 8-10hp under the curve (4000- 5500 RPM) - from resonance tuning and air horn design.
The system will also deliver another 15-19hp at speed from the ram effect from the drop in the air density inside the manifold, there will also be a small pressure rise as well, reducing pumping losses quickening windup.

The total power that this system is capable of required VR to
detune the system three time during its development by restricting
the system to a level far below its full potential.

Total power delivered for a "NO Tune" system on a stock OEM car
Once you combine the dyno and ram effect gains on the road, the Torque is +45 ftlbs, Horsepower is +35hp over factory stock to the wheels! "Tune" models will gain about 10 more peak HP & Torque.
(Modified motor cars will gain more)

At the track you will see greater gains in E.T. than your trap speed indicates from the broad power curve.

ex. 1/4 mile - 4-5 tenths and + 3-3.5mph in trap speed! ("NO TUNE" MODEL)

That is what a broad Torque and power curve will do for you!
